What an amazing 2016.

As we come to the end of another successful year on court, it’s good to take a look back over the last 12 months and think about the good times, the success, the friendships and the development and improvement of our players.

It was great to have so many schools on board again. We also had a heap of Hot Shot kids across a heap of venues, and it is great to see lots of kids enjoying our junior coaching. Thanks to all parents, players and families for allowing us the opportunity to work with you!

An area ATA seemed to really succeed in and produce some pretty incredibly impressive results in was our High Performance. We had 11 year old @Abbi Gibson won a number of AR events and then perform amazingly in 16s event. She then went on to win the Australian Schools Singles Championships at the National Bruce Cup, where she also helped WA to win a silver medal. Former ATA junior Sally Partington headed to the USA for her tennis taking a tennis scholarship to Portland State University (and we hope to have another athlete sign to US Colleges soon.)

Across the board at clubs some of we saw some fantastic results winning adult club championships.
Jarrod Capararo won the Merrifield Park TC singles championship.
Joel Gray won the Tenterden TC singles championship.
Dylan Hillman won the Kendenup TC singles championship.
Kaine Cristenelli won the Tambellup TC singles championship.
Special mention to Nelson Stanborough and Gabby Bolt on finishing runner up in the Lawley Park TC singles championship.

It was also pleasing to see so many of our younger brigade improve so much in 10s and 12s and along with our squad players improving their Australian Rankings through several tournaments in Perth and around WA.

We teamed forces with Global Tennis in January for our NSW/VIC Tennis Tour and again in April for an incredible Californian College Tennis Tour. Heaps of fun and educational benefits. Batavia Tennis will join ATA and Global at our 2017 tour in 2 weeks time and we look forward to having Nick Arnold on board (Cheers Colesy).

A huge thanks to all the clubs and committees that support us, TA schools programs and Talent Development Team, Tennis West and our network of coaches around Australia!

And massive thanks to our ATA Coaches James, Brittany, Gabby, Nelson, and Matt. Your efforts are always appreciated and without you guys we can’t deliver tennis as much as we like to!

Big thanks to our major sponsors HHG Legal Group, First National Real Estate Albany, Wealth Advantage, Energy Agencies, and to the awesome crew at Wilson Tennis and New Balance Australia.

Enjoy the summer of tennis, stay safe and thanks for your support in 2016….. Bring on 2017! #performanceismandatory
