Well there are all the Aussie stars, from the 70s, 80s and 90s, I mean who doesn’t back their fellow countryman in.  Always been a  big Rafter and Hewitt fan, what these guys do an did for Davis Cup was amazing.  As far as the ladies scene, Alicia Molik was always a favourite, I loved the fact she could serve big, had amazing volleys, but was physically tough enough to match it with anyone.  It’s such a shame she got injured and had to fight back just to get back on the tour.  It has been such an amazing experience and I have been so lucky to have Alicia work with us In Albany over the last two years.  She is an amazing role model to our juniors and has a sincere love for the game!

Outside of the Aussies, I was always a Agassi fan, his story, the way he just went toe to toe from the baseline, but you could never write him off in a point, he could pull winners from everywhere.  I also had a lot of time for Boris Becker (yeah we named our long haired border collie Boris). I loved the serve volley and the smoothness of the backhand.

Today ATP  players, well we are blessed with so much talent – I doubt there has been a greater talent pool – to be honest I don’t have a favourite. I can watch the fed, the djoka, rafa, as well as stan the man and the new bread of players waiting to knock them off.  Men’s tennis is at an all time high.

The WTA also has some quality, the Russians seem to be dominating, but there’s always surprises in any main draw, and you can’t write Serena off, and there’s is a lot of juniors coming through who just need to ride the confidence wave to continue their journey up the rankings.
