Since I started following tennis I have been amazed in the name NICK BOLLETTIERI.  Every time I hear it, I am thinking high performance, a visionary, an absolute legend of the game and a very worthy inductee to the Hall Of Fame!

The first things that comes to mind about his coaching when I hear his name besides from the usual – He coached Agassi, Courier, Seles, Sharapova, The Williams sisters etc etc.

He took risks

He doesn’t know everything and never will

He is an amazing motivator of athletes of all ages

He had a dream and a vision and nothing stood in his way

Personally since the day I built my first tennis court I have had a IMG Bollettier flier pinned to the wall. It is there so I stay motivated, grounded and with a direction to create both a better player and athlete and a better person.

Speaking with Nick last week in Melbourne he took the time to listen to the challenges we face in the country, and appreciated the efforts we go to for our athletes as far as travelling and touring etc. He also gave some very clear cut advice to me when working with my students. Keep the direction simple and confident…..  And to keep up the good work.

It was the first time I had ever had the privilege of meeting and talking to Nick. And one I will treasure and remember forever.
